According to tipster WaBetaInfo's recent post WhatsApp is testing a translation tool in its Android version 2.25.12.25 beta release. According to reports WhatsApp will enable this feature to function on-device through language pack downloads which ensures secure and encrypted messages that don't get sent to their servers for processing.

The testing of this feature by WhatsApp started in mid-2024 and indicates that users can expect an official release soon. The feature to translate WhatsApp voice note transcribe would diminish the need for external translation apps like Translate.

WhatsApp Translate Chats: How it Works

WhatsApp will introduce a profile section toggle that users must activate to translate their messages. Selecting that option causes WhatsApp to present the required language choices and download the necessary translation pack.
